Also on November 17 the NCAA Division I National Championships will be contested at the park.

The women’s event will be 5,000 meters and the men’s event will be 8,000 meters.  Awards will be presented to the top two men’s and women’s teams and special awards will be given to the Top 25 finishers in each race.

Step #2 Each coach that completed the Intent to Compete process for his/her team(s) by August 8 will be moved to Competing Team Category for the 2012 Greater Louisville Classic and receive a meet entry password to be used for step #3. This list of schools will be posted to the race website in early August.

Step #3 Next, each coach MUST return to the meet website (see link in Step #1), starting on August 9 (priority entry date ends on September 14) and submit team rosters. Team rosters can be updated up to the meet standard entry deadline of September 21.

For teams wanting to ensure priority entry (exact entry fees will be emailed/posted in early summer), starting on August 9 they can make advance payment online with a credit card or by mailing a check to Louisville Sports Commission, One Riverfront Plaza, 401 West Main St.  Suite 2200 Louisville, KY  40202. Please be advised that that due to anticipated high interest in this year’s Classic, meet management may need to close the entry process should event capacity be reached.

As the meet approaches, you will receive helpful reminder emails regarding the entry process and the event.

We are thrilled to have the opportunity to be involved in the management of an event that will be spectator and student-athlete centered! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or respond to this email.
